Depresi pada Emerging Adults Ditinjau dari Dukungan Sosial dan Social Self-Efficacy

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan dukungan sosial dan social self-efficacy terhadap depresi pada emerging adults di Indonesia. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah 108 individu berusia 18-29 tahun yang tinggal di Indonesia. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif yang menggunakan skala daring (online), dan skala yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Depression Anxiety Stress Scale-21 (DASS-21), Interpersonal Support Evaluation List-12 (ISEL-12) dan Social Self-Efficacy Scale (SSE-1). Data dianalisis menggunakan Pearson product moment dan regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan negatif antara dukungan sosial dan social self-efficacy terhadap depresi pada emerging adults. Dukungan sosial tidak dapat menjadi variabel tunggal yang menentukan tingkat depresi seseorang. Emerging adults disarankan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan sosial dan membangun hubungan yang dekat dengan keluarga, teman dan pasangan untuk mengurangi tingkat depresi.
